If you're working on a college or job application, think about this: what makes you uniquely you?

[00:00] This is the biggest tip I give to people [00:01] is, you want to find what makes you so [00:03] uniquely you. There are just so many [00:05] other applicants that have the same [00:07] stats as you, right? Like they have a [00:08] high GPA, and they did this and this and [00:10] this, and they did research in all these [00:11] things, and they have all these big [00:12] awards. But what makes you uniquely you? [00:15] And I I think a lot of people on their [00:17] college applications will write, "Oh, I [00:18] want to be I want to be at Stanford [00:20] because I'm doing like they have this [00:22] program for me, or there's this [00:23] professor I can do research with." Um [00:26] that's great and all, and I'm I'm great [00:27] you it's like [00:29] great that you know what you want from [00:30] the school, but the entire point of your [00:32] college application is you need to sell [00:33] yourself to this school. Why should this [00:35] school accept you over someone else? And [00:38] this is the entire mindset that I had [00:39] when I was writing my Stanford [00:40] application. Um and I think that I think [00:43] that helped me a lot. And so I thought [00:44] about what unique characteristics do I [00:46] bring as like a human being to Stanford [00:48] and and to the culture and to the [00:49] community. Um and I would recommend [00:52] writing like very niche topics in in [00:54] your in your application.
