Don't try to go it alone - build up a community of supporters. Life will be much easier.

[00:00] Like if you're standing by yourself, and [00:01] you're like, "It's just me. I'm by [00:02] myself. I'm applying to conferences or [00:05] doing my resume, and I'm trying to [00:07] survive on my own." It's going to be [00:08] really hard for you cuz there's a whole [00:10] group of people that are talking, [00:11] communicating, and helping each other [00:13] out. Like recently, you know, I have a [00:15] friend who's switching jobs, and I was [00:17] like, "Hey, if I can help you in any [00:18] way, either negotiate cuz I've had to go [00:20] through the negotiation process before [00:22] or do anything, like look at your [00:23] resume." I've reviewed resumes of friend [00:26] Like Like they are not going at a job [00:29] alone. They're going at a job with 20 [00:31] friends who are supporting them and [00:32] helping them land the role both [00:34] internally in the org and outside. [00:36] Versus like if if if we go alone at it, [00:39] it's much harder cuz you don't have all [00:41] the all the support. And so, I think [00:43] that's huge. Like be supportive, support [00:46] others, have a good time, meet other [00:47] people. You learn so much.
